730E-8 Dump Trucks

The 730E-8 haul truck is Komatsu’s smallest AC-drive truck model. The truck is rated at a nominal 181 tonne payload capacity and is powered by a 1492 kW/2,000 Hp engine. Although smaller in stature, the unit boasts similar features and technology that is offered in the larger mining truck models. The cabin offers improved operator comfort through reductions in noise and whole of body vibration levels. The frame incorporates structural casting enhancements to ensure chassis longevity beyond industry expectations. Machine systems are designed with inherent reliability in-mind and improved maintainability features deliver high levels of long term dependable mechanical availability. The unit comes standard with our Komtrax Plus remote monitoring and location system, backed by our Australia-wide service and support network.

Current Offers

Reduced Maintenance Intensity and Improved Reliability

The 730E has a reputation for reliability, durability and ease of maintenance. The latest model features a brushless and contactorless AC drive system. The model also incorporates developments that reduce repair time, increase intervals between PM servicing and increase mean time between planned component replacement intervals.

Structurally Enhanced Frame Design

By using advanced computer-aided design, finite element analysis, and full-scale dynamic and static testing, the frame design has been structurally enhanced to carry more weight and provides the highest structural reliability in the industry.

Environmental Footprint Reduction

The latest developments in engine and drive system platforms include features that result in a reduced fuel consumption, reduction in particulate matter emissions and noise emissions. The engine can be configured with optional aftertreatments to meet stringent Tier 4 emission compliances. Electronically controlled fuel injection and improved vehicle filtration systems reduce fluid consumption rates and waste management costs.
