How to Apply and Enrol
Please contact Komatsu Training Academy on 1300 390 377 or admin@komatsulearning.com.au
Duration
The nominal duration to complete this competency-based apprenticeship is 4 years full time. KTA’s flexible training model considers the learner’s skills and knowledge acquired through previous training and experience. This may lead to a reduction in the time required to complete your apprenticeship.
Delivery
There are a range of methods used for our training and assessment which include written and oral questions / answers, and demonstration and observation of practical tasks in your workplace or at one of KTA’s training workshops.
Entry Requirements
You must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship involves full time work with an employer who provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of a trade.
This is a structured program for a fixed period and while you learn on the job, you also attend off the job training at one of Komatsu Training Academy’s locations.
Some of the benefits of an Apprenticeship are that you can:
» Earn a wage while you train
» Learn on the job skills combined with off the job training
» Receive a nationally recognised qualification on successful completion
» Start a valuable step towards a rewarding career path.
Fee Information
In most cases the State Government meets the cost of training. This means that neither the employer nor the apprentice pays for the training component of the Apprenticeship.
However, apprentices may be required to pay a minimal Government contribution fee determined on an individual basis prior to enrolment. Please contact Komatsu Training Academy for further information.
An employer of an apprentice may be eligible for Commonwealth incentives. For further information contact Australian Apprenticeship Pathways on 1800 338 022 or go to their website www.aapathways.com.au
